Riffs Policies

• TUITION

Lessons are sold on a monthly basis for $140 per month (typically this means four once- per-week lessons, though with holidays and shifting calendars, some "months" may consist of three or five weekly lessons, with prices adjusted accordingly). These lessons are once-per-week, half hour lessons, and recur at the same day & time each week. Tuition is to be paid in full on the date of the first lesson each month. Subsequent lesson payments are due at the beginning of each billing cycle (I.E. After a month of four lessons, payment would be due the following week, marking the beginning of the next month of lessons)

• MISSED LESSONS

We do not credit lessons for any reason outside of our store not being able to fulfill a commitment. Make-up lessons may be offered when available, but are in no way guaranteed and do not carry over.

• VIRTUAL LESSONS

We offer both in-person and virtual lessons via Skype or Zoom. Any in-person lesson can be switched to a virtual-lesson on a moment's notice, and vice versa. If you are unable to make it into the studio, consider switching to a virtual lesson instead of canceling.

• RESCHEDULING

Each student is allotted 2 rescheduled lessons per year. You must give at least 1 week notice prior to rescheduling, otherwise it is considered a missed lesson rather than a reschedule.

• PAYMENT METHODS

We currently accept payment via Cash, Check, Credit/Debit Card, Venmo, and Zelle. We are also a registered vendor with several charter schools; Cabrillo Point Academy, Compass Charter, Empire Springs, Excel Academy, Granite Mountain, Harbor Springs, Julian Charter School, Method, Mission Vista Academy, Pacific Coast Academy, River Springs, Sage Oak, and Sky Mountain.

• CANCELLING LESSONS

To cancel your lesson contract, you must notify us at least 7-days prior to the start of the next billing cycle. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee equal to the price of the first week of lessons in said billing cycle - $35.00
