Bass lessons are tailored to each individual student.
Beginners can start with either fingers or pick – students choice! From the beginning we work on being able to play the bass in time with a drummer, theory and technique. Advanced students can work on slapping the bass like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Victor Wooten, and tapping the bass as well. Throughout the bass lessons, we focus on interesting rhythmic patterns, building walking bass lines and locking in with the drummer. Students will learn and understand why they play the individual notes of a bass line. This will help greatly with improvising and writing your own bass lines.
